Project Summary
The transformation of the energy sector presents significant challenges in ensuring supply security and increasing flexibility on the demand side, in order to enable the integration of distributed renewable energy generation. Energy flexibility consists of enabling the dynamic adjustment of consumption to respond to energy needs where and when they are required.
It is essential to develop the necessary technology to automatically optimize the matching between supply and demand, ensuring the stability of transmission and distribution systems while reducing energy costs. In light of the new energy sharing paradigm, now enabled by recent legislation, Cleanwatts Digital (CWD) aims to test Artificial Intelligence models and algorithms in a real environment within its Living Lab. These models will enable a smarter interconnection and optimization of energy sharing in Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), maximizing savings for their members.
Role of Cleanwatts Digital
To test Artificial Intelligence models and algorithms for the interconnection and optimization of energy sharing in Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) within the CWD Living Lab.
Strategic Relevance for Cleanwatts Digital
The project allows CWD to explore digital solutions for energy sharing and energy flexibility, aligned with its mission to maximize savings and efficiency in Renewable Energy Communities.
Key Project Innovations
- Testing of Artificial Intelligence models and algorithms for managing and optimizing energy sharing.
- Application in Renewable Energy Communities.
